Tank water, delivered properly
If your home runs on a rainwater tank, a dry spell can run it down quickly. Our water trucks carry clean water from our fill station on Kaiwaka Mangawhai Road straight to your tank.
The water comes from a certified bore and is UV treated. We do not add chlorine, so it stays close to rainwater and tastes good. In a very dry season we may occasionally need to cart in some town supply, but only as a last resort.

- 50 metres of hose on every truck, so most tanks can be reached from the driveway
- A text or call from the driver on the way, if you ask for one

Two load sizes, one clear price
A 6,000 litre load is about a quarter of a standard tank, and 10,000 litres about two fifths. Most standard concrete and plastic tanks hold 24,000 to 30,000 litres.
Inside the Mangawhai area, the load price is all you pay on a weekday. Outside it, a distance charge of $3.50 per km (ex GST) is added for the return trip from our fill station. Saturday and Sunday deliveries carry a $100 call-out fee, and public holidays $150.
Work and Income customers need a purchase order number from their case manager before booking. Senior pensioners are entitled to $500 of water a year. The FAQs explain how.

From booking to a full tank
Our tankers need driveway access 3 metres tall by 3 metres wide. If your tank is more than 50 metres from where the truck can park, tell us before the day.

The driver finds your tank, runs the hose and fills it. A photo of where the tank sits helps on bigger sections.

Yes, we can supply a smaller amount. The truck, the trip and the driver's time cost the same either way, so we charge for a full tanker load.
In summer, book as early as you can. Demand is high and there is often a waitlist, so check your tank level and order before you are low. If your tank is already empty, call the office on 0800 426 269.
Usually not. Our drivers can find most tanks. Tell us about gate codes, dogs or anything unusual when you book, and send a photo of the tank location if it is hard to spot.
Give us at least 48 hours notice. Phone the office on 0800 426 269 and also email admin@kurawai.co.nz. Without notice of cancellation, the full delivery is charged.
